For nearly four decades, the Heartland Men’s Chorus has been a beacon of hope and inspiration, harnessing the transformative power of music to unite communities and amplify voices that matter. As we wind down an eventful 2024, we are thrilled to continue our tradition of mainstage shows in the new year, including our first annual Aha! Cabaret featuring our acclaimed small ensemble – The HeartAches. This intimate, groundbreaking cabaret performance, showcasing 16 powerhouse voices, promises to captivate, entertain, and inspire with music that matters!

Kansas City is growing, and so is HMCKC! From our historic home at the Folly Theater to Yardley Hall in Johnson County, we’re hitting the road with our Do It With Heart Tour & Concert, engaging both urban and rural communities across Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Our mission of building community, celebrating pride, and empowering authenticity will shine through in inspiring performances that bring hope and solace to those who need it most.

Heartland Men’s Chorus and The Folly Theater

Heartland Men’s Chorus performs a varied repertoire of music, including jazz, Broadway, popular and classical works. In recent years, the Chorus has become known for its musical documentary format which uses music, narration and multi-media to illustrate social issues.

HMC regularly performs with more than 150 singers, and presents a three-concert season at the historic Folly Theater. During a given season, more than 6,500 audience members experience the music and message of HMC. An even greater number of people hear the Chorus at community outreach events throughout the year.
