From the Artistic Director

When making plans for my first season as artistic director of Heartland Men’s Chorus, I considered the things that have shaped my life: community, family, and of course, music. I can’t think of a better way to kick off my first year, and HMC’s 29th season, than to celebrate the city that we call home, the families that shape us, and the powerful music that enriches our lives and fills our souls!

Our holiday concert will be packed with more Kansas City flavor than a plate of barbecue, with familiar carols, fun holiday numbers and special surprise appearances from favorite local celebs. In the spring, we will explore the love and dignity that all families deserve as we tell the story of the modern family. Finally, we’ve got “magic to do” in our summer concert featuring the “wickedly” awesome music of Stephen Schwartz.

Join our family of subscribers as we begin this exciting new journey in the life of the Heartland Men’s Chorus in a season that is sure to Enlighten, Inspire, Heal and Empower.
