Attention all singers! Are you ready to join the Heartland Men’s Chorus Kansas City and be part of an unforgettable musical celebration? If so, we invite you to audition for our upcoming Disney PRIDE in Concert, taking place on June 17th and 18th at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City.

This show is a first-of-its-kind, family-friendly production that draws inspiration from iconic Disney films such as The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Mary Poppins, as well as modern classics like Coco, Zootopia, and Wreck-It Ralph. Our 125-member chorus and 25-piece orchestra will perform enchanting new musical arrangements, all accompanied by animation from Disney and Pixar films at the Muriel Kauffman Theatre.

As an LGBTQ chorus, we are committed to using our mission and vision as a guide and personal stories from our members to showcase the individual meaning and connections drawn from Disney’s timeless and universal music for all people. We believe that music has the power to bring people together and create positive change in the world.

We encourage all interested singers to sign up for an in-person audition on March 28th from 6p-9:30p at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral. If you are unable to attend the in-person audition, we are also holding an open rehearsal on April 4th at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. You can sign up online at https://hmckc.org/join-the-chorus/ to secure your spot.

We welcome singers of all genders, sexual orientations, and musical backgrounds to join us in celebrating the magic of Disney and the LGBTQ community. We look forward to seeing your talent and enthusiasm and to sharing our love of music with you. Join us and be part of something special!
